Running the business is the job. The paperwork shouldn't be.

Bredonis Agency takes the bookkeeping, the record-keeping, and the day-to-day business admin off an owner's plate — and helps them make sense of the numbers once they're clean.

Food and maker businesses are where most of this practice's work has been, so the systems for inventory, cost-per-unit and market-day cash are already built. Everyone else is welcome — the underlying work is the same.

What we handle

Five areas. If a job needs a licensed professional, we'll say so and point you to one rather than improvise.

Bookkeeping and QuickBooks

The recurring core of the practice. Set up properly once, then maintained every month so the numbers are current instead of reconstructed in a panic each spring.

  • QuickBooks Online setup, or cleanup of an existing file that's drifted
  • Monthly categorization and bank and card reconciliation
  • Accounts receivable and payable tracking
  • Monthly profit & loss and balance sheet, with a short written summary
  • Year-end records organized and handed to your tax preparer

Systems and operations

The plumbing that makes a small business run without the owner holding it together by memory.

  • Invoicing and payment collection that actually gets money in
  • Inventory and cost-of-goods tracking
  • Expense and receipt capture that doesn't rely on a shoebox
  • Documenting the repeatable parts so work can be handed to someone else
  • Choosing and connecting the software you're already half-using

Pricing and margin

Most small businesses can tell you their revenue and not their margin. This is the work of finding out which parts of the business pay and which parts quietly don't.

  • Cost per unit, per job, or per service, built from real numbers
  • Break-even and the floor beneath which a job isn't worth taking
  • Product- and service-line profitability
  • Rebuilding a price list, and how to bring existing customers along

Growth consulting

Practical, measured, and tied back to the books — so you can see whether it worked rather than guess.

  • Where new customers are actually coming from, and what each one costs
  • Offers, packages and retainers built from what's already selling
  • Sales and lead tracking you'll keep up with
  • Deciding what to do next quarter, and what to stop doing

Cash flow and planning

Forecasting for businesses with uneven seasons, which is most of them.

  • A simple 13-week cash forecast you can maintain yourself
  • Setting money aside for slow months and for tax time
  • Modeling a hire, a piece of equipment, or a second location before committing
  • Preparing the financial package a lender or landlord will ask for

Not offered, by design: tax return preparation or filing, IRS representation, audits or attest work, legal or contract advice, investment or securities advice, insurance advice, and employment-law advice. Bredonis Agency is not a CPA firm or a law firm. Where you need one, we'll tell you and we'll work alongside them.

How it works

Four steps from first message to a month that runs itself.

  1. A 20-minute call, at no chargeYou describe the business and what's currently a mess. No slide deck, no pitch. If this isn't the right fit, that gets said on the call.
  2. A look at what you've gotYou share read-only access to your books, or whatever is standing in for books right now. That's how the quote gets built on facts rather than a guess.
  3. A written scope and a flat monthly priceExactly what's included, what isn't, and what it costs. Six- or twelve-month term. Nothing starts until you've signed it.
  4. Cleanup, then a steady monthly rhythmHistorical mess gets sorted first as a one-time project. After that: monthly close, monthly reports, and a standing check-in.

What clients say

Two of them, in their own words. These are unedited and used with permission. When there are more, they'll go here — and not before.

Bredonis Agency handles everything — social media, outreach, and QuickBooks. Our engagement and booth sales have skyrocketed! It’s like having a full marketing team on our side.

Which one are you?

Put in two rough numbers and this will place you. Estimates only — the real quote comes after we’ve looked at your books.

Every sale, purchase and transfer. A rough count is fine.

Whichever of the two puts you higher is the one that counts, because transaction volume drives the work more than revenue does.

Why this exists

Brennan Avila started Bredonis Agency after watching a lot of genuinely good small-business owners lose their evenings to bookkeeping they hated and were never trained for. The work itself — the food, the product, the trade — was never the problem. The back office was.

So that’s what this practice does. Someone else keeps the books current, tells you plainly what the numbers say, and helps you decide what to do about them. You get your evenings back and a clearer picture of your own business.

Questions

Are you a CPA?

No. Bredonis Agency is a bookkeeping and business consulting practice, not a licensed public accounting firm. We do not prepare or file tax returns, represent clients before the IRS, or perform audits, reviews or compilations. What we do is keep your books accurate and organized so that your CPA or enrolled agent has clean records to work from — which usually makes their job cheaper.

My books are a disaster. Is that a problem?

It's the normal starting condition. Most engagements begin with a cleanup project to sort out the history, quoted separately after a look at the actual file. Nothing about the state of your records is going to be surprising.

What do you need from me each month?

Read-only access to your bank and card accounts through QuickBooks, receipts for anything unusual, and answers to a short list of questions about transactions we can't identify. Usually well under an hour of your time.

My business has a dead season. Can the fee follow that?

Yes. Most market vendors, food businesses and makers earn the bulk of their year in a handful of months, and a flat fee lands hardest exactly when cash is thinnest. So we can weight the billing: more in your busy months, less in the quiet ones, with the same total over the year.

This isn't a discount — it's just accurate. There genuinely are fewer transactions to work through in February than in October. Tell us your season on the call and we'll build the schedule around it.

Do I have to use QuickBooks?

It's what this practice is built around and what we recommend. If you're on something else, say so on the call and we'll talk about whether migrating makes sense. QuickBooks is billed by Intuit directly and is not included in the monthly fee.

Is there a contract?

Yes — a written services agreement for a six- or twelve-month term, with the scope and fee stated in it. Cancellation terms are in the agreement and summarized in our refund policy.

Do you work with businesses outside my area?

Yes. The work is remote. Clients are in the United States; we do not currently take on clients outside it.
